Have you checked/compared the node password (sudo asl-menu, Node Settings, AllStar Node Setup Menu, Update node ###, Node password) with the nodes password from www.allstarlink.org, Portal, Node Settings, ... ?

Are you certain that you have the correct node number and node password correct? You would get both of these from www.allstarlink.org. You would login to the site, click on "Portal", and then click on "Node Settings". Then, you can either select the "Show" button for the node to view the password or you can click the node link to view/edit the node settings (including the password).
Note: the node password is case sensitive (i.e. lowercase/uppercase matters).
