Issues with Node Registration on AllStarLink

Hi AllStarLink community,

I've been using AllStarLink for a while to connect my radio system, and recently I am having an issue with node registration. My node appears to be having trouble connecting to the network, and I receive a "registration failed" error when attempting to bring it online.

I've carefully completed the setup guides, gone over the configuration files looking for differences in syntax, and ensured that my internet connection is stable. Still, I'm unable to register the node correctly. Has anyone had this experience, or can you think of something I might have overlooked?

I also discovered that, while I was troubleshooting, attempting to read up on network automation, and looking for any Best Devops Tools, for managing server configurations it also caused me to begin to wonder if anyone had used DevOps in their AllStarLink setup or even if DevOps had a place in AllStarLink to help automated node registration, or potentially manage the network.

I'm looking forward to any answers, or help on this topic. I really appreciate any assistance!

Best,
nutrv

You have not provided any logging or troubleshooting information for anyone to guess at the issue. In almost all cases, this is an issue of either an incorrect nodenumber/password combination or the the CGNAT/Accelerator issue documented here.

Using 'asl-menu' to setup your node - which works for all but the most complex setups - is a walkthrough configuration. If you then use the backup feature, you only ever need provide your node and password in the future.
