Facing Some Issue with Audio Latency on AllStarLink Node!

Hey everyone,

I have been experiencing some noticeable audio latency on my AllStarLink node, and I am hoping to get some insights from the community. The delay seems to be around 2–3 seconds., which makes conversations feel a bit sluggish.

Here’s my setup :-

Raspberry Pi 4 running ASL
USB sound interface
Good internet connection (wired, 100Mbps)
Running latest ASL software

I have already checked my internet speed…, and there’s no noticeable packet loss. I also adjusted some settings in usbradio.conf and rxdelay, but the issue persists. I am wondering if there are any specific settings in iax.conf or echolink.conf that I should tweak to reduce latency: ??

Has anyone else faced this issue: ?? Would switching to a different USB interface or tweaking txbuffer settings help: ?? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated !! I have also searched on the forum for the solution to my query and found this thread https://community.allstarlink.org/t/connection-latency-via-cloud-aws-training but still need some more help.

Thanks in advance !!

With Regards,
Derek Theler

Where are you experiencing the delay? Is this a full-duplex setup and the delay is between RF users on the same radios or a half-duplex setup and the delay is with other nodes on the Internet?
