I having a 1-3 second latency connecting. They dont hear me.
Is it because of my - ve6mld-mac cloud server?
What servers would be better or not use cloud just direct internet connection?
i Have no problem with OIH net
When you say âcloudâ I assume youâre meaning a VPS service like DigitalOcean, Linode, Hertzer, etc.? Those are very hit-and-miss witih running a hub node because of the resource over-subscription model all those providers use. If you get on a busy underlaying server or their network gets busy, your latency and jitter donât play nicely with near-realtime audio. Itâs really a question of having steady-state performance or guaranteed resources.
Which is better Internet only or through cloud?
How and where do I change it in the software or do I have reinstall the software
Or do I change it from Public or Private?
What youâre really asking here is very unclear. Nothing about AllStarLink configuration settings can affect your server performance.
I have a 3 second latency. Maybe a different server like Linode may help. Another question does the connection from the raspberry pi go through the internet direct connection to another node without using the cloud? Is the cloud just access the software? Iâm on pure fibre 1gb up and down
Your server maintains a list of registered nodes with connection info.
When you make a connection, it is direct to the node in question.
It will receive your request for connection if you are in the registered node list. Security.
You need to trace your network for the latency than to guess at it.
A network is only as good as itâs weakest point.
Latency may not be on your end at all, but you will not know until you test it.
There are plenty of tools out there to help you do that and are beyond the scope of this forum.
Thanks for the infoâŚNow i have a problem running Asterisk CLI client.
I get this:Connect attempt from â10.0.0.17â unable to authenticate,
:2024-10-10 19:04:59.435] NOTICE[2826]: manager.c:3790 authenticate: 10.0.0.17 failed to authenticate as âadminâ
Need some context for that error.
What are you doing when it appears ?
Connecting to Asterisk Manager 56984 127.0.0.1:5038âŚConnect Failed. Check allmon.ini settings.
What does this mean when it shows up in Allscan
now allmon.ini is allmon.ini.php why did it change?
Im trying to run registered Echolink on allstar3.
My conection is im using a RimLite dongle attsached to my ARcom rc210.
When i change to chan_echolink.so and aslo selected in modules saame channel it wont start into allstar. the rimlite uses SimpleUSB driver.
Can you post an error?
As far as I know it always has been allmon.ini.php
You do not âchange to this channel driverâ
You enable the module and setup echolink.conf
adjust a few EL parameters in rpt.conf if desired.
Set-up port forwarding in your router if needed
done.
Are you following any directions or just guessing ?
How do I enable module? And in what file?
Please take a look at the following as many things are well-documented. You seem to be making guesses without reading the documentation.
