I know this is timely, since the Debian 10 Allstarlink release is being worked on.
Is it possible to incorporate a couple edits to app_rpt.c that I always make to my images? That would save me installing all the source and libraries so I can recompile.
Here are the edits I make:
#define TELEM_HANG_TIME 120000
change to: #define TELEM_HANG_TIME 15000
morsespeed = retrieve_astcfgint(myrpt, myrpt->p.morse, “speed”, 5, 20, 20);
change to: morsespeed = retrieve_astcfgint(myrpt, myrpt->p.morse, “speed”, 5, 35, 25);
The first changes the telemetry on demand ON TIME to 15 seconds instead of 2 minutes.
The second increases the upper CW ID speed limit. I usually set mine to 25 WPM. That should be the user’s responsibility if he wants to go above 20 WPM.
The ID speed limit could be changed outright and the telemetry hang time could be changed as a user defined parameter.
