I've run Allstar under hamvoip for over 10years with no problems other than an occasional
reboot on power outages. I've been following ASL3 builds and tried to give it a go. Unfortunately I've had no joy in the setup. I followed the install procedures and it seems to have been installed correctly but NO wifi or failed wifi setup. Ethernet works on lan and am able to access most of the configurations. It looks like my node is being seen on Allstar
I'm running. the latest version of Asl3 with RPI3B and a URI interface to a Kenwood TMV71 that of which I cannot get configured correctly to tall to the Kenwood..
I really wish I could get this going.. other than that, going back to hamvoip looks to be the only option . I would appreciate any hand hold points and suggestions.
THANKS
I have the same issues with WiFi sometimes if i add the WiFi info during setup with the Raspberry Pi Imager if you did the config files for your saved wireless connection are stored here - /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/ - you can manually delete them from here... then readd them through cockpit WiFi Manager, this may help with your WiFi connection issue
I reinstalled asl3. I now have WiFi and am able to config. Does anyone have the appropriate configuration for a URI? I’ve got tones and cw id coming through however unable to connect inbound to a kenwood. I’ve tried a number of combinations to no joy
