When I connect to my new node (592660) from an existing node (612671) that works, I get a connection that says null. When connecting to Dv-Switch with new node 592660 it tries and responds with a different node and disconnects. I have tried everything but cant figure out where the problem is.

I have a issue getting my head around your issue just because how you explained it.
DVSwitch is not a node. But you can port it to a node via USRP/analog bridge.
So, it is that node number you should be connecting to.
And it needs the same definitions in rpt.conf and extensions.conf as your other local nodes.
Perhaps that explains it or you can better ask your question.
