What is the significance of the suffix /L in my node’s CW ID? Does L stand for something unique? Thanks.
One could imagine ‘LINK’ and plenty of reason to use that if it is a link radio and not a repeater.
As far as I know, there is no ‘requirement’ for the suffix but a courtesy to others to know what type of system they are hearing.
Change it in rpt.conf

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply; “link” seems logical enough. As far as changing it, I won’t; it seems that whenever I tinker with the firmware, I foul something. I tried to get Supermon working and had to reflash the SD card and start over. Just the number of passwords to manage is daunting.

FWIW, from the direwolf-master/symbolsX.txt:
/L = Logged-ON user. (A PC symbol showing someone on APRS-IS)
