How to setup GPIO in raspberry for cor and ptt without modifying a usb cm108 fob?

I’m also curious. Is this functionality really missing? I can find no reference to using the Raspberry Pi’s GPIO pins for PTT functionality, despite the fact that almost every other ham application uses them. If it is there can somebody point me in the right direction? Thanks!
