URIxB responds under tune CLI (asl-menu) but does not transmit audio once asterisk is running

I had to make a new cable for a different radio I was using.

The pinout of the 8 pi mic is

Pin 7 GND - - - - > Pin 13 GND on URI

Pin 6 PTT————–> Pin 1 PTY on URI

Pin 5 wired but more on this later.

Pin 8 TX audio - - - - - >Pin 22 Left_Out

Pin 4 RX audio———–> pin 22 Mic in AC

Under al-menu and in the tune interface CLI I am able to flash the PTT and listen to the 1000 Hz tone, and also able to receive and calibrate RX audio.

But, echo does not work. Then, I exit the menu, run asterisk - rvvvvvvv and am able to decode DTMF but like if I go *70 I read the response on the CLI but when the playback comes, the red light on the URI does not come on, I can see the digits play out on the CLI, but there is no response from the URI to the radio. I switched URI’s and same behavior, so something with the cabling may be the issue here. My message got cut off, I was using my phone and there was a power outage, had to redo message, anyways, not even my callsign went on my original post.

Thanks again, 73

Make sure you have ptt set correctly for whatever the radio wants for PTT.

Good morning, Sir. Thank you very much for your reply. In this case, I have it set to Ground, and it works when I give the F command under the tune interface CLI. If I leave it open, it performs the flash but stays transmitting a carrier afterwards, so Ground is the setting that appears to be the correct option. Have a nice day.
