Inquiry

Hello, hope someone can provide some guidance on my issue.

I have two nodes I purchased from Allscan.info (ANF-101 & ANH-100) I intend to use as a home node and a remote node.

I live in Mexico, but my intention is to have one node in a US location.

The nodes came configured from the manufacturer; I am running one in my house and the other at a remote house, two separate Internet Networks.

They work fine and connect with no issues with the nodes on the Allscan-Allstarlink favorites page.

However, they cannot connect to each other when I try to test connections locally before moving my second node to US.

My home nodes is setup trough TELMEX Internet and the second one is trough another MX ISP

Both nodes can connect with each other within the same network , i’ve tried trouble shooting as best I can but cannot resolve. I greatly appreciate your input, sorry if I am posting this question on the wrong place

Thank you

Josue – KX9BBY

When you say both nodes can conenct with each other within the name network, that implies that you hardcoded the nodes into rpt.conf because most home router devices don't work will with "hairpin NAT". That will break when you move them to different ISPs.

If its a CGNAT issue we can put a 44net wireguard ip address on them and see if that fixes the issue. CGNAT cause so many problems. I host a server but so do other. I would try that route before changing carriers as most carriers are Carrier Grade NAT. Read up on it.

Had to get under the correct account. N3DMC

N8EI, thank you for responding, correct when i was testing I added a line to the nodes to connect them in the same home wifi Network:
68235 Home Node

68235 = radio@ 127.0.0.1/68235,NONE

68614 = radio@ 192.168.68.107:4569/68614,NONE

68614 Remote Node

68614 = radio@ 127.0.0.1/68235,NONE

68235 = radio@ 192.168.68.121:4569/68235,NONE

and vise versa on 68614 node, correct, that did not work when i moved to a test hose with another ISP. this is the original node config:

NODE 68235 original

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Your node settings here ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

[68235](node-main)

idrecording = |iKX9BBY

statpost_url =

duplex = 3

rxchannel = SimpleUSB/68235 ; SimpleUSB

;startup_macro = *8132000

startup_macro = *698

NODE 68614 original

;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; Your node settings here ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

[68614](node-main)

idrecording = |iKX9BBY

statpost_url =

duplex = 1

rxchannel = SimpleUSB/68614 ; SimpleUSB

;startup_macro = *8132000

; Auto connect at startup to node 68235, and announce IP Address:

startup_macro = *81368235 *698#

At the test house I tried to replicate teh lines with ASL public IP to see if they would connect but was unsuccessful, I found out yesterday my ISP (TELMEX) usues **CGNAT (**this is the public IP of my home router : Dirección IP pública 10.134.106.148.

Hello, N3DMC! Thank you for responding, i’ve sent you an email response to your post. Thank you again!! :smile:

Sent over two IP addresses. All traffic will go out 44net ip addresses from the nodes and be public addresses. Knowing David’s AllScan programming skills he should have the firewall up on the nodes. That’s a good thing. Hopefully today we can mark this resolved.
