Trixi Shutdown Button

My Nodes have a shutdown button that works perfect with Debian Bookwork but with TRIXI os it does not shutdown when held. looking at TRIXI it looks like the command is not in the os can some take a look and see whats happening. many thanks..

You will have to be more specific by what you mean here. Explain your “shut down button” and what command is missing.

That makes it sound like you have a commercial hotspot product? Do you know which one and did you ask them for support? There is no “stock” support for that in ASL directly.

That sounds vaguely like the Argon Neo Pi case; I have one but it’s being used for something else, hence I’m no help at all…

I have a button like this on a HotSpotRadios node however it is still running their modified version of hamvoip that came with it. I always wondered if I was to update it to a newer version of allstar if it would retain this feature.

i would venture there is an OS-level script (nothing to do with ASL of any version) watching the special button. like special keyboard keystrokes, it then fires off a systemd change-of-state command

I’d need to see some configuration on how a “shutdown button” is being implemented. Again, it’s entirely possible to do in Trixie - has nothing to do with the OS changes - but maybe what it was calling in the OS changed? Dunno. Have to know how it works.

I have sorted this out… for TRIXI

do tell, if you don't mind!
(and in case someone else comes along with the same concern)
