I heard there was a new update, so i did the updates, but now i can login to terminal mode. I can login to my portal.

Can you better explain what it is you ‘can’t’ log-in to ?
The OS via ssh or local terminal ?
If you re-read your post, you only say what you ‘can’ log into.
Resetting the node password is done in the portal, but that is not something that prevents you from logging into your software when we get it straight what you are not logging into.
The ‘node password’ is just for registration of the node on the network.
It does not effect the software outside of you can not connect to other network nodes when the node is not registered.

What user were you logging in as and did you create a root account password ?
I would say log-in as root and set a new password for the user.
But so far nobody else has popped up with the same issue.
Be sure you have not let the caps/num lock or something else slip past you and you are entering the correct info.
I can’t think of anything in the ASL3 updates that would affect a local terminal (display/keyboard, SSH, or Cockpit) login.
No, nothing about these updates touched the underlying OS.
