Thread closed: Debian 12 Kernel 6.1.0-{29,30} Audio Stutter Fix - Call for Testing

I would like to clarify what exactly we should be doing now for testing kernels newer than -28
BOTH threads on the topic have been closed.
And reference:

Closed with “This is clearly not the fix. Locking this thread; no more testing needed.”

Pretty much forcing me to start a new one here rather than continuing where we left off.
I am now unclear what we should be doing to test or do after rolling back to -28 with the previous fix.
And what/how where we should be testing on newer kernels.
And where it should be discussed.
Thanks.

At the moment, nothing. The only current viable solution is to fix the kernel at -28. The devs are discussing a path forward.

Thanks, and please keep me in mind if you’d like any testing done on my end.
I’m very interested as you have probably noticed.
Take care and have a pleasant weekend.

A fix has been identified. Put the following in the file /etc/modprobe.d/asl3-snd-usb-audio.conf:

options snd_usb_audio lowlatency=0

Then reboot your system. This is being tested and packaged for a release today.

Man!
How did that get figured out?
Also of curious if we lost “any low latency” benefit that we had before this?
