Telemetry simulator released

A windows-based simulator of the ‘chameleon’ hardware board is now available for those who want to experiment with Allstar telemetry. It connects to the Pi using a USB serial port and can generate up to 8 analog inputs, 5 digital inputs with alarm generation, and monitor 5 digital outputs. This software simulates the operation of the telemetry hardware and will exercise Allstar functions such as battery voltage monitoring, local alarms and device controls. It can be found on GitHub, at GitHub - ve6vh/PUTSI: PIC USB Telecommunications System Interface.

PUTSI (PIC USB Telecommunications System Interface) is the hardware replacement for the chameleon and can be purchased in kit or assembled form.
