was using hamvoip, installed asl3, using dashboard, i tried to setup wifi.
but all i get is wifi scan failed. no hardware changes since it was running on hamvoip.
so i figure something is wrong on my config somewhere. using a rpi zero 2w
works on lan connection

Was the message "WiFi scan failed"? or "WiFi set failed"?
If the latter, you probably had Cockpit set for "Limited access". If you click the link at the top of the window to enable "Administrative access" you should be good.
