Is there a way to control COS without using phone mode, and without having to modify a CM108 sound card? My idea is to make a radioless node using a stock, unmodified CM108 usb sound card, add your speakers and mic, use the keyboard on a pc for push to talk. Thanks
You may wish to look at KC1FSZ's Ampersand-ASL project if you want to use unmodified sound devices (doesn't have to be a CM108 necessarily)

This does require running a web browser on some machine somewhere if you don't have HID PTT/modified CM108. I have used it with Allscan UCI80, UCI120 and UCI200 interfaces with hand mics, haven't really much with other audio devices.
