Snom 710 configuration for use with allstarlink

Hi everyone.
Since i would like to use my node to connect a voip telephone, i bought a snom 710 for some euros and now…i am not able to do nothing or, better, i don t how to configure it.

First of all i followed the instruction in wiki referred to allstar3 adding the info in the configuration.

If i get in snom 3 config i find:

Login, username ( i don’t understand the difference). Then, do i have to selcet asterisks as server?

For the server, i use my local ip of my node, but even if i put at the end :5060 it doesn’t work. I tried to open 5060 on my router but it says it has already on use (do you suggest to nat 5060, for example from 5550 to 5060? Or change 5060 in configuration, but i don’t know where)?

I know these are a lot of questions…

Hi Igor. First, SIP configuration in ASL3 is different than in ASL2, so if you are using old instructions, you’ll probably get hopelessly lost.

In ASL2, you specify a username and password (called the secret) in sip.conf. My explanation of that for ASL2 and a Cisco 525G phone is at AllStar Node on Tiny PC: Part 3 - by Tom Salzer

When ASL3 came out in beta, I installed it and updated my SIP configuration. That happens in pjsip.conf, not sip.conf. What I did is detailed at Random Wire Review 98: July 12, 2024 - by Tom Salzer

Hopefully, this information will help you with your configuration issues. I specified port 5062 UDP in pjsip.conf for my installation.
