I have a private node for the DMR interface on my node. Some ASL users have asked me why that node (1000) isn’t showing up on the bubble chart. I thought since it’s a private node and not a ASL node, it wouldn’t show up. If it’s possible to have it report it’s status, I would like to fix that.
Private nodes are not able to report their status because they don’t register. That’s the nature of private nodes by design.
However, there is one exception (isn’t there always) to that. Private nodes that are connected to a public node will show on the bubble chart. That’s because public nodes report all their linked nodes. Private nodes show as a red bubble.
