I want to setup a hotspot using my RAV4 Hybrid that has CarPlay running wirelessly. I plan on using. Pi4b and an aursinc if ICA ever get it to set frequency. CarPlay has its own wiresless unit. How would you go about setting this up. Put everything under a mobile router? How would you then setup CarPlay? Any ideas appreciated.
AllStarLink has no integrations with CarPlay. How you use CarPlay and your phone varies widely depending on how you're connecting to CarPlay, what your phone setup is, if the vehicle has its own data service, etc.
In general, you're not going to be successful trying to setup ASL via CarPlay as it's not designed for that. You'd need a separate mobile hotspot most likely.
No I don’t want to setup up via CarPlay. Right now I’m using my phone going through a wifi plug into a usb in the auto. It has its access point. When I put the asl3 hotspot in the car I want it to work through my phone as well.
