I working with a backup internet service. Its port forwarding uses a reverse proxy. I can successfully access node via, cockpit, putty and DVSmobile. I have been unsuccessful being able to connect to node inbound. Registration is fine. Node connects out. I want to connect inbound like DVSmobile does. I tried adding, in rpt.conf, statically configured node. I also played with Allstarlink reverse proxy under server setting. What am I missing, it can not be this hard…lol.
Does your outbound HTTP/IAX public IP address match the inbound IAX2 public IP address? Those would have to be the same.
Your comment was helpfull. I did find a typo. In the end. The service I am trying works for everything, but udp. I tried everything with ASL3 to get it to work. I tried hostinger vps too, but is not true Debian 12. Google vps is expensive, but works. I will keep looking. Most other vps services are down more then up.
David, i have had good luck with using racknerd vps’s for running openvpn. had one go down for about an hour last week. I have been using them since November 2023. For a cheap vps, i’d say that’s pretty dang good.
