In past days, I used to be able to enter http://nnnnn.asnode.org:xxxx/supermon/ from a browser and, after entering the appropriate user name / password credentials, remotely control the node. How is this done in ASL3?
The asnode.org domain was never an AllStarLink thing. We're not exactly sure who actually ran that, but it's been dead for quite awhile now. The official DNS is NODE.nodes.allstarlink.org - e.g. 2000.nodes.allstarlink.org.

40182.nodes.allstarlink.org took too long to respond.
I suppose I need to set up something on the node end?
You'd need to allow inbound TCP/80 and TCP/443 in whatever router/firewall/NAT you have. But that was the same with asnode.org. The DNS name doesn't give access. it's just a pointer to the IP.
