Dumb question, which I can't find in FAQ. It it possible to record the repeat output audio, from within app_rpt?

Yes - it's documented as being an undocumented feature :-p
if you put a directory after this parameter it will record all the audio
there

PS - also have a look around for "nodeshark" a freeware program that lets
you access and search through the "sound bites"
