Question about connection log on ASL3

For the HamVoIP version, asterisk would log connection/disconnect request in a file /var/log/asterisk/connectlog. I don’t see this file in ASL3. Does anyone know where ASL3 logs connection/disconnect entries (so far haven’t been able to identify any using journalctl)?

/var/log/asterisk/messages.log
But I don’r think there are any connect messages there.
I don’t know if you might be able to change the verbosity to see them. Never tried.
Verbosity is set in /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf

If you find something that works, let everyone else know by posting it here.
I do remember this question comes up from time to time.

Mike,

Thanks, I first checked messages.log file but no connection entries are within that file. Had not thought of trying to change the log level setting, great idea. Will report back.

That was a feature of Supermon included in Hamvoip and its related smlogger being setup in rpt.conf for connects and disconnects.

Jason,

Can’t thank you enough for this information… now I just to figure out how to get the other logging buttons to work

@WY7JT … the Web Access and Web Error buttons appear to be pointing to the correct files but not displaying any of their contents. Any ideas on why the contents of the files are not being displayed?

Just installed the latest ASL v3 update and now both of the Web Log buttons display the log files.

So last log button to fix is Linux Log

The only place I’ve seen asterisk connect & hangup messages is in the asterisk CLI. The log streams there.
