When installing allstar3-arm64-3.0.12 dated 2024-08-14 on Pi3, hostname will not set to nodeXXXX, but defaults to alarmpi as host name. However, login with username=root pass=raspberry does not work, nor does username/password assigned during custom setup in Raspi Imager.
Have tried multiple re-image, different SD cards (16MB and 32MB sizes) .
Any suggestions? The same hardware works fine with HamVoip software.
alarmpi is the default hostname on HamVoIP (Arch Linux), not ASL…
Hint:
al = Arch Linux
arm = ARM Architecture
pi = Raspberry Pi
Are you sure you didn’t mistakenly burn the HamVoIP image?
Yeah something called “alarmpi” is definitely not the ASL3 Pi Image.
DOH! that was the exact problem - Once I had the right image, it dropped right into place.
The node was working on the HamVoip image, and with luck will get the configuration finished later today and get back on the air.
