Overnight failure

I'm running Allscan.info's UC120 on Beelink T5 running Debian 12.10 and ASL 3.3.0 w/Allmon3 and Allscan. Easy installation on new pc and system worked just fine yesterday. I get up today and can connect to nodes with Allscan/Allmon3, but no receive so I reboot the node. Now nothing.

On a whim I change the USB connection on the computer. Everything works. I reboot the node. Nothing works. I change the USB connection (the computer has three USB3 type A ports) and the node works again. Plain and simple configuration as per AllScan UCI120 USB Communications Interface

Shades of MS-Windoze. What's going on here?

Steve, while I know nothing about your specific hardware, be it known that these micro pc's often have terrible bios issues
It kinda sounds like that to me anyway with usb issues.

I have seen this sort of issue recently when setting up nodes, and it is in fact an ASL issue. Apparently after setting up a node, and possibly after an ASL update, the node needs to be rebooted before it will be able to open the USB port. At that point it will not write that USB port device string to the .conf file until you run the tune menu and write configs from there. Once you do that it should then remember the port.

Thank you for this suggestion. At least it's something to try rather than moving the USB plug around. 73 de K3FZT / Steve

NR9V- I found another post from you where you directed the deletion of everything to the right of the equal sign of "devstr = 1-3:1.0" and that with restart of asterisk and tuning using the CLI app seems to be working now. Yes, I think this is an ASL issue and not the machine.

Thank you for your assistance and contributing to my education.
