I am new to all this Allstar Link stuff so I apologize if this is a really dumb question. I built the Shari Pi Zero 2 AllStar node and have it up and running. I am now working on a second node using a Raspberry Pi 3 B+, the AIOC USB interface and a UV-82 HT. When I power up or reboot the Pi 3 it used to transmit the ID and the IP address but now it doesn’t, matter of fact, after about 5 - 10 minutes it says my IP address and node number followed by timeout. My Shari Pi transmits the IP address and ID every time on reboot or power up. I’m sure I have messed up some setting but for the life of me I can’t seem to figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
JAy, while I’m sure someone will have better answer than me, because it sounds like you are using hamvoip (wrong?) and I know little about that or the shari.
Could it be that you don’t have a network connection and it’s stuck looking for the IP address ?
‘timeout’
Would be my first look.
I do have network connectivity as I can connect to other nodes just fine. I have found that if I key up my node after it has been power cycled it then says the IP address. It used to just do this first thing after a reboot or power cycle. I also have the proper port forwarded to the correct IP address.
Thanks for replying.
