Node 668951 not being registered

Hello,

I’m having an issue with my AllStarLink node 668951 (IK5TWZ – Livorno).
The node is running and reachable locally, but it does not register
correctly and cannot link to any other AllStar node.
Any connection attempt goes to “connecting” and then disconnects.
Symptoms
iax2 show registry always shows:
Request Sent
Linking attempts (*3xxxxxx, *8xxxxxx) fail with connection failed
Node status page reports:
“Node is not reporting statistical data or is offline”
dig 668951.nodes.allstarlink.org returns no result
curl http://stats.allstarlink.org/uhandler returns Invalid Node
Environment
OS: Debian 12 (AllStarLink)
Asterisk: 22.5.2
ASL version: Allmon v3 1.7.0
IAX ports (4569 UDP) open, firewall disabled for testing
Public IP correctly set (externaddr)
rpt_http_registrations.conf configured and present
Local private node 1998 works correctly
Suspicions
I suspect an issue with node registration on the AllStar infrastructure
or a regression / incompatibility introduced in Allmon v3 1.7.0
or the node may have been automatically disabled after being offline
for a long time
Could you please check:
whether node 668951 is properly enabled on your side
if there are known issues with Allmon v3 1.7.0
or if any manual reactivation/reset is required.

I’m adding a key technical detail regarding node 668951.
The node is correctly sending statpost updates to:

http://stats.allstarlink.org/uhandler

but the backend consistently replies with:

perform_statpost: Response: Unauthorized

This happens repeatedly and explains why:

the node never appears online,
no DNS record is published for 668951.nodes.allstarlink.org,
linking to other nodes is impossible.

The issue is therefore authorization/backend-related, not firewall, NAT, or local configuration.
Could you please verify the backend status of node 668951 and re-enable or reset its statpost authorization if needed?
Additional info: on the node, /var/lib/asterisk/asl3un-hash exists but is empty.
Statpost attempts return "Unauthorized".
This suggests the ASL3 trust token is missing and needs regeneration server-side.

You are confusing the registration system with the stats gathering system. All of the stat-related items you mentioned - statpost errors, stats.allstarlink.org, etc. will ignore your node's data because it is not properly registered.

Are you using HTTP or IAX registration? What does rpt show registrations or iax2 show registry report based on your configuration? Have you reviewed your logging to at startup of Asterisk for what the error might be?

Usually, your problem is an incorrectly-configured node password set in asl-menu or you tried to hand-edit your configuration and broke something.

This proves several things:

You have disabled HTTP registration in favor of IAX registration. There is generally no reason to do this and implies a hand-edited configuration.
Your IAX registration is timing out. That means your node is not able to communication to the registration system on UDP/4569.
Your diagnosis that the "node is recodnized but rejected server-side" is incorrect.The stats system will ALWAYS return Unauthorized until the node is properly registered. Stats collection is not fundamental to operations and connections.

This is a client-side problem with registration. I would suggest checking the register line in /etc/asterisk/iax.conf for the correct password and other attributes.
