Node 65711 registration timeout — outbound UDP 4569, no replies

Node: 65711

Software: HamVoIP 1.7.1-04
Asterisk: 1.4.23-pre.hamvoip

The node was registering normally and then stopped.

Current result:

iax2 show registry
State: Request Sent / Timeout

Verified locally:

  • Internet access works.
  • DNS resolves register.allstarlink.org.
  • System time and NTP are correct.
  • chan_iax2 is loaded.
  • UDP 4569 is listening.
  • The iax.conf registration line is valid.
  • The node credential matches the portal.
  • Asterisk has been restarted.
  • Tested on both Starlink and a mobile hotspot.
  • tcpdump shows outbound UDP/4569 registration packets to the registrar addresses.
  • No inbound UDP/4569 replies are observed.
  • All custom scheduler and connection-control jobs are disabled.

Could someone check whether the legacy IAX registration service is receiving or rejecting registration attempts for node 65711?

There was another report of the same behavior and it stopped at the same time. This is the same problem I've seen before were some part of the Internet seems to just vanish on the way into AWS for UDP. Rebooted the register nodes. See if your stuff registering now.

This AWS thing is VERY ANNOYING..... I may have to end up doing scheduled reboots.
