I have ordered a few of the Mini-ITX Desktop 1.8GHz iGoLogic from Andover
Network Liquidators and am wondering how to transfer the CF image from the
ftp site to the CF card. Can I boot linux from the USB and just dd to the
/dev/hda device? I do not have any other CF devices. Thanks in advance.

You will need to download the image from limeylinux and then using a CF reader and windows (or linux) write the image to CF. I believe there are instructions on the website on how to accomplish that. Using linux, you can use the dd tool.
