New user set up for WT mode only

I am an HF bands guy who has not used a repeater on vhf/uhf for over 40 years. My local club is moving its net to a UHF repeater and I have been told I can join in by using ASL and QSO1.

I have registered and have my callsign showing in the menu bar. I have been told I can just access the network, and that I do not need a node or a server. Again I understand I can just use "WT mode" I have looked through the manual , and all the instruction I can find are to do with nodes and servers.

What do I have to do in ASL to allow me to use it with QSO1?

I have now got QSO1 working, but not sure how! 73

You're correct, WT Mode doesn't require a node of your own in order to access other people's nodes. If you do set up a node in the future, you can certainly connect to it with WT but it's kind of redundant, out of the box. That being said, I actually do it all the time; however, I'm permanently connected to a number of other nodes.
