I tried this two days ago. To start I have a number of nodes. So I know a little about the process about a week ago I decided to download the newest image. I also updated the Pi image burner. Since then when the "new sd card" is booted the wifi doesnt come up can ya help?

I have re tried reverting back to what worked before.
Didnt work.
I have tried re downloading everything.
Doesnt work
I have tried a known good sd card from a few weeks ago, a sd card that was burned and works.
That works
I also burned a linux sd card and that works (has wifi) . Any ideas?

I have also tried nmcli device wifi connect AC0Y password xxxxx. That gets an error too.
I have also tried a different windows 10 computer with only Echolink installed on it....
Help...... this makes no sence to me.

Do you have a screen on it or a SSH terminal through the wire? If so, what is the output “ip link show”?

I have a screen and keyboard. Whwn it comes up it says
My ipaddress is 127.0.1.1.
This is directly connected directly to the board the screen and the keyboard to the usb port. Also I have tried imager marked as v1.8.5 and it does the same thing... no wifi upon start up. Doesanyone have a version of imager v1.8.5 or earlier that works ?

So, as I asked, what's the output of ip link show?

Okay im not sure what you mean output link. The initial splash screen shows My IP address is 127.0.1.1 ::ffff:127.0.1.1
Web console: https://AC0Y8:9090/
If you need further info you will need to instruct me as to where to look.

Literally login with the keyboard and type ip link show as root.

Typed sudo ip link show. Returned :
lo <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> MTU 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
2: wlan0:<BROADCAST,MULTOCAST>mtu 1500 qdisc noop state DOWN mode DEFAULT group defaultqlen 1000
link/ether 2c:cf:67:f8:d9:d2 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:

Does the output of nmcli c show the WiFi connection you configured in the imager?

It'll probably be named "preconfigured".

No it says NAME UUID. TYPE. DEVICE
lo 9584fle7-0dd8-4fd4-b0c4-0effcfba7a3a loop back io

Pre configured is what it shows up as when it gets my SSID AND GETS AN IP ADDRESS.

But not any more it doesnt get an ip address

If I load lynux, from a sd card I can turn on wifi and it works. I have tried different boards and a sd card from 2 weeks ago will boot get an ip address and run. Anything created in the last week or so just is a no fly.

Is there a /boot/wpa_supplicant.conf or /boot/firmware/wpa_supplicant.conf file present? That makes it sound like the WiFi information isn't being written by the imager at write time.

Hasn't that been determined about the image burner already?

I will check on your last requests

Whats crazy is it gets my ligin right but not the ssid and password for it

Oh and I have made sure that my info that I entered into the image burner is correct.
