New nodes can't post stats (401) for several minutes

Greetings, all:

A thing I’ve noticed, either when setting up new ASL3 nodes, or when migrating existing node numbers from IAX to HTTP registration, is that stats don’t post for about 10 minutes, as the server returns a 401 each time the node attempts to post stats. The fix is, apparently, to do absolutely nothing, and it starts working eventually.

It’s like there’s an initial lag between when a node is registered for the first time and when the stats server acknowledges it’s existence.

Is this a known thing?

I’ve observed this a few times now, and it happens pretty much the same way every time.

There is a delay, yes. It shouldn't be 10 minutes, but for overly-complicated reasons there is currently a delay when a new node comes online or a node changes IP addresses. It's on a long-term list of improvements.
