Setup Information
First time setup.
- Raspberry Pi 4
- AIOC (in AIOC mode) / usbradio driver
- Baofeng UV-5RV2+
- clip on ferrite beads at both end of USB
Asterisk Version: 22.7.0+asl3.7.1.1.deb13
ASL3 Version: 3.7.1
What works:
- the node has network connectivity
- on boot there is a CW-ID
- with CLI using “echo mode”, I get good (but quiet) audio back
What isn’t working:
When idle, the node transmits for 3 seconds, receives for 1 second and then repeats. (If testing with “echo mode”, the node stays in receive for the length of my transmission, and the entire message is repeated.)
I’ve gone through a number of troubleshooting steps and ChatGPT suggested debugging, but can’t find the root cause.
Any insights would be appreciated.
