Need help with setting up a raspberry pi for gmrs hubs

I want to create a gmrs supermon system but im need to this my friend and i been looking for ways to do it but hes not to teach savvy so i been doin most of the research and see that we can create private nodes and also make our own hubs nd nodes so i created the Allstar account for him but i end up putting in my name in the form so we haven’t gotten any access as yet to the system but our main goal is to try to created our own system so can i get any pointers on that also we have tge raspberry pi 5 as well nd we don’t got no idea how to use it so can we get some help with these please thank you guys

Network linking of GMRS repeaters is not permitted by 95.1733(a)(8) and 95.1749 of the FCC rules. See General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS) | Federal Communications Commission and click on “operations”.

I have done it for a large Texas GMRS linked system. I did move it over to ASL3, but a bit different and new coding. I loved all the linked repeaters and met many new friends. As stated above, it not allowed anymore, and I shut the system down. It was a bad call and most have not gotten their ham license, but I keep pushing them. We dropped from 26 GMRS repeters to 6 ham repeaters.

Don’t get me started on the current amateur licensing scheme that’s a relic of the 70s…

Gotcha so you the one who helped mark the president of texasgmrs build his node system meaning by getting the nodes online and the status page goin to becouse im trying to build a small radio community for my local area in syracuse NY so we all can enjoy the radios.

Strongly recommend getting your tech licenses. You can do a lot more with it, including linking stuff together.
