My node goes silent and show still connected (sometimes)

I dont know how to put it in the title but this is whats going on.
I have been operating my node for about a month now, and it has been good until 5 days ago when i was monitoring a net on the ECR (node 27339) and it suddenly went quiet. After a couple of minutes it finally caught my attention and grabbed my HT and keyed the node. I got the dual (connected) courtesy tone but still no audio from the connection. The local repeater connected to the ECR was broadcasting the net and thats when I checked the allstar node list page. My node was showing connected to the ECR node (27339) but nothing came through. Disconnected, connected and still nothing. Rebooted and nothing. Finally decidet to hook up to another node (ECR 45192) for the reflector and got the audio and everything went back to normal. I thought it was a problem on the other end and didnt think much more about it.
Two days later the same thing happened but this time with newly connected node 45192. Did everything and got no audio until I connected to the original node (27339) and it worked for another 24 hours.
Today, the same cycle started again. My node shows connected to 27339 but nothing comes through while the net is going. Switched to 45192 and it works.

Anyone with a clue?

In new with my node and I might be missing something.

Carlos, while I may not be much help here,
It sounds like something else is failing or conflicting under condition.

Perhaps scrub your files looking for appropriate channel driver and the addressing for them even for nodes you described and don’t use.

Looking at the log files may help.
Watching it in a asterisk foreground window may help as well even though it is random.

Perhaps even log in and see how much memory is available after it happens.
CPU utilization as well.

Make sure the software is up to date. There have been quite a few fixes along the way.

Thanks for the reply Mike. I’m fairly new with the node so I’ll have to sit down and process this with a small spoon.
I’ll get to it and report back if I find something.

It sounds like your node is becoming unreachable after a period of time. Your node thinks it’s connected, the other side doesn’t. When you say “my node shows connected”, what do you mean by that specifically?

What I mean that my node is connected is that when you go to the node list page on allstar, you search for my node and it will show the connection on said page to whatever node I gmhad it connected to, the node will also give you the dual hi-lo courtesy beep. But when you search the node the other way around, (on the connected remote node) it does not appear on the list.
