Multiple Nodes but Only One Will Work

I have 3 nodes.

One using a Dell Wyse 3040 with an Allscan UCI120.
One using a Dell Wyse 3040 with an Allscan UCI120
One that is a HP laptop that does not have a USB interface yet.

All three have Debian 12 with Allmon3 and Allscan installed.

First node works with no issues. I use this on WiFi in my truck and hardwired at the house.

The other two nodes will not connect to the Allmon3 Monitoring Dashboard. I get a command error on all commands.

I have each node setup on its own server with its on port that I have forwarded in my router. After doing a lot of reading I cannot seem to find out what the issue is. All three nodes are registered on Allstarlink, allmon3.ini and manager.conf are correct. rpt.conf is setup correctly and I have set it up per the instructions from Allstar with node numbers and each one knows about the other node. I have been reading on this for several weeks and I am stumped.

Thanks

I have 5 modes here set up the same way. If you've followed the instructions at Multiple Nodes on the Same Network - AllStarLink Manual then odds are 1) You have a typo or forgot a change or 2) There's a firewall in the way.

Allmon3 requires port 5038 TCP to be open to each node.

Outside of what @Chuck mentioned. The only other thing on the top of my head is the hostname of the computers in question. If you started with a copy of the 1st SD card, you might have overlooked that... just guessing. Needs to be unique.

It does sound more like a ID/routing/firewall issue.

Thanks for the info. I turned my firewall off just to see and same outcome. I do have each IP port forwarded to the correct port based on my server settings and iax.conf is the same as well. The 5038 port part is what I don't quite understand. I do this in my router correct? I am a super novice when it comes to networks and ports. Also each one of my nodes has a different name. I did not copy from an SD card, the Dell Wyse 3040 I used an UEFI boot on.

While I can not help you past this point,
it seems your issue is with the allmon3 software setup in connecting to those 'servers'.

But I can't be 100% on that, as there can easily be issues with uefi.

Perhaps others who use allmon3 will chime in a bit better.

so, two days ago, i setup two nodes on one pi4. I used the aforementioned document to make it happen. went smoothly. came into the shop the next day and they would not connect no matter what I tried. I verified that the rpt.conf, iax.conf and all other settings were correct, but no luck in getting them to connect. so this morning I decided to try something new. I have been using tailscale vpn for a couple years now for my business. I had also added all of my nodes on the vpn so that I could ALWAYS establish connections to them remotely if I needed to. This morning i reasoned that port forwarding etc all behind the same lan (nat) router would not matter if I just used the ip addresses assigned in the vpn. guess what? it worked perfectly. good stable connections without the need to port forward in the router and the rpt.conf file you just let the node know of its neighbor on the vpn ip address location. that is all
