Inquiry

I have aRpi5 running 2 HSR-USB on ASL3.

MY problem is if node 1 or 2 are connected to another node they work perfectly. If nodes 1 and 2 are connected, then they knock each other off and one node’s green light will go solid. Also, the CLI continuously show the following error:

[2025-12-30 17:33:20.484] ERROR[1449]: chan_simpleusb.c:996 hidthread: Channel 653266: Device string 3-1:1.0 is already assigned to channel 653267

NOTE: I have 3 SHARI PiHatU that all have an HSR-USB plugged into them and they work great, which leads me to believe that I have something wrong in my setup of this one.

HELP, Please.

To clarify, are you connecting nodes 1 and 2 to each other? or both nodes to other nodes?

Also, can you confirm that your /etc/asterisk/simpleusb.conf file only includes the two "devstr = ...." statements? Maybe, rather than copy/pasting a subset of the .conf file you could Upload a copy of the entire file?

The nodes are connected to nodes like ECR, DoDropIn, etc

simpleusb.conf (8.8 KB)

My New Year’s resolution is to stop being an idiot…I swapped to a better power supply, and everything works as it should.

Thanks for the time and effort, and sorry for the waste of your time and effort.
