More registration fun

I’m running 2 nodes on 1 server. 1 node is private and the other is public (57387).

Everything is correct at my end (as far as I can tell)

iax.conf:

register=57387:xxxxxxxx@register.allstarlink.org

(password hidden for this post of course)

rpt.conf:

statpost_program = /usr/bin/wget,-q,--timeout=15,--tries=1,--output-document=/dev/null
statpost_url = http://stats.allstarlink.org/uhandler.php ; Status updates

results of iax2 show registry:

Host dnsmgr Username Perceived Refresh State
162.248.92.131:4569   Y       57387       204.195.103.189:4569      179  Registered

Still not showing on the registration webpage

Status page

I can connect. Check your conf files. Maybe re enter/confirm your geolocation information.

Why doesn’t it show in the Active Nodes list, even with another node connected?

I would say you have an issue with your browser. Not app_rpt

You are in the registered node list and probably should have checked that before assuming.

57387=radio@204.195.103.189:4569/57387,204.195.103.189

Perhaps clear you browser cache and/or turn off any script blocking. Try again.

Your first looking check should be the nodes list you already have /var/lib/asterisk/rpt_extnodes
along with the timestamp of the file to be sure it is recent.
then perhaps the website.

You are reg’d. Fix your browser.

Ken,

I think you are using the wrong URL. Here is the correct URL: AllStar Link | Node List

This is what a unregistered ‘valid node’ looks like.

Notice no green bar.

Have tried Firefox, Edge and Brave. Cleared caches and reloaded status page on all 3, Still no listing of MY node but others display fine. I don’t get it…

Based on the info presented,
you are likely left with firewall/routing/dns type issues.

Try the same from your cellphone using ‘cellular data’ and not wifi behind your NAT.
(turn off the wifi and any auto switching capability to use wifi)

But, it is likely in the router or routing problems in some way in common.

Everything behind your NAT should be a clue to that
But if not, your ISP with similar issues.
You are not using a standard ISP are you, but a highly tagged private network with lots of it’s own routing ?

Nope, not my LAN and my ISP is Astound Broadband (cable).

So I turned off WiFi on my phone and went to the status page. Same results

(Cell provider is PureTalk, whom I believe uses the AT&T network)

I am not a network neophyte by any means nor Linux illiterate.Regardless, I’m not exactly sure what’s left to try now…

Be sure to comment/uncomment statspost_url under the correct node stanza.
