hello everyone,i have seen a couple of web page where i can see nodes of a certain network,,not a Private network but a network of great importance.
i wonder if it would be possible to have configure a "web page" were i would see the "status" of ALL nodes from my Province of Quebec for example.
i dont know if it can be done,i just want to see on a map of my province if they are "Online" for example !
can it be done?
maybe it require more knowledge than i have certainly and i least i would know if it is possible and how to do it!
thanks in advance !
Remember ,write simple,,i am not an expert as many are here!
just an ordinary owner of a node that would like to reach others here.
If you mean a graphic visualization of nodes, outside of those that are in your own connection chain, then there is nothing I know of for just geo location.
Probably nothing stopping someone from developing such a thing as you could use location data users have put in the portal (not always correct or present) and the generic data available in the asl api.
Lot of work.
You might also be able to just sort and print a list of nodes in geo location from the api data. But it can tend to be incomplete or inaccurate because everyone does not input the data well in the user portal.
You can do the quick and easy right in the portal...
Well ,
i tried "Quebec" and i can see all of the list of our nodes here in the province.
i dont remember if we have to register also the gps position of each node,,, for what i am thinking it would be needed.
i was thinking something like we can see on Uiview ApRS where we can see the stations!
maybe it is to complicated to do this,i have no idea of the work involved Mike.
Doing anything like this is very hard.
Mainly inaccurate because all of the data is user input.
You need a database of accurate info.
Some do not fill it out or use strange info or even abbreviations non standard.
Look through the list unfiltered for a idea.
I know there are more than 4 times as many nodes in Canada than that shows.
And that is a broad geographic.
No matter what anybody does to create such an animal, it still requires user data that can only come from one place... the owner.
aprs users are constantly updating location. Folks would have to participate.
This is no different. Participate accurately.
I would find value in just grid square or even zipcode. But, Not there.
Bonjour Mike,i wonder if “astmon.aspx” as to do with what i am looking for??
i googled “astmon.aspx” and found some details,
i have found some web pages that shows network ,special club or else, and the web url finished by astmon.aspx.
it seems it is a special package,or software for asterisk ,read what i found :,
The file "astmon.aspx" is not a standard component or file within the core Asterisk PBX software. It's likely associated with a third-party web interface or application that utilizes the Asterisk Manager API (AMI) for management and monitoring purposes. Asterisk itself uses AMI for external systems to connect and interact with the PBX.
maybe it is an application that need to be added at my Asterix here,
i am new in all of this, been a Windows guy for many decades.
