Trying to confirm if a MMDVM Board will work with a Raspberry Pi3A on Allstar Link?
l was told that the MMDVM is only for DMR etc .?

No, MMDVM boards are only for digital voice modes. For Allstarlink you need a RIM (Radio Interface Module).
The latest MMDVM firmware does support an analog mode to support multi-mode digital/analog systems, but I don’t know (and don’t expect) that it is supported by Allstar/HamVoIP as yet, if ever (Pi-Star only at this point, AFAIK.)
