MDC-1200 & Notch FIlter

Hello to the group,

Please pardon - I’m a noobie at some of this…

I am trying to get MDC1200 encode and decode operating on an RPi3 that is running the most updated Hamvoip build.

I followed instructions at http://docs.allstarlink.org/drupal/node/104 and cloned the KA6SQG mdc-encode-decode library and copied all the .c and .h files into the apps directory.

I also did the same for mkfilter.

I attempted to compile the latest version of Allstar on github with the #include lines for encode, decode and notch filter uncommented in app_rpt.c.

./configure completes without any errors, but I get the following error when it gets to doing something with aelparse.

collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

/usr/src/Asterisk/asterisk/Makefile.rules:78: recipe for target ‘aelparse’ failed

make[1]: *** [aelparse] Error 1

rm simpleusb-tune-menu.o radio-tune-menu.o pi-tune-menu.o

make[1]: Leaving directory ‘/usr/src/Asterisk/asterisk/utils’

Makefile:364: recipe for target ‘utils’ failed

make: *** [utils] Error 2

Note: I can’t run the gcc 4.9 library on an Armv7 RPi3. Only v5.3.0 will compile. (Not sure if running 5.3.0 is causing the problem. The comments at https://github.com/AllStarLink/Asterisk say to run 4.9.)

Please advise with instructions on how to solve this issue.

Thank you kindly, and Merry Christmas.
