One suggestion that has been made in some of the howto’s is to put the Echolink to a pseudo node and then permanently link that to the primary Allstar node at startup so its easier to disconnect if needed. I have not see a good sample rpt.conf file that implements that. Does someone run in that configuration would would be willing to share a suitably redacted version of their config file(s)?
The 'generic' node/hub is all you need for a independent echolink.
That is a node using rxchannel = dahdi/pseudo for your rxchannel driver.
The rest is the echolink config to say that node # xxxxx is the node connections are directed to (astnode=xxxxx).
Your generic node can be public or private depending on if you want it to be able to independently have incoming asterisk connections to anywhere else (public listings).
Don't forget to set that generic hub/node in iax and extensions if you want to be publicly independent.

I have two nodes, one local from Mark nano ae and one I run on a Vultr server.
My local internet is not reliable and usually can not take incoming connections and I can't even get outgoing echolink to work locally which is the reason I setup the second node on vultr.
Then I dialup a permanent connection between the two.
Sorry I don't know anything about setting up IRLP currently.
