Installing on existing Raspberry Pi OS (Dietpi)

I already have an existing Raspberry Pi running (Dietpi) for home network. Wish to ADD on AllStarLink to it - need to know where to begin - list of apps to manually install/config

H/W not an issue - Will be adding my own sound interface and connecting to either an unused HT or FT-857.

So, Is this feasible or shall I have a completely separate raspberry pi or NUC running?

It’s unlikely the prebuilt packages for ASL3 will work on DietPi unless it’s “close enough” to Debian 12. It would be feasible to hand-install everything but that isn’t recommended unless you’re a developer. Unless you’re really wanting to “dig in” to the guts of it all, I would recommend a standalone Pi using the ASL3 Pi Appliance image.
