Hello group,
I am a new ASL3 user and I have one buddy that uses an old version of Hamvoip that cannot connect to me although everyone else can connect. He has no trouble connection to other Allstar users. I am sure that my port forwarding is correct and working as many other Allstar users can connect.
Any ideas?

Mike, there are a lot of things that could be at issue here.
But the most likely is a out of date rptextnodes list file.
Both you and him should look through /var/lib/asterisk/rpt_extnodes
Scan the file for each others nodes. Verify the info is correct.
One of you likely has a outdated list for some reason.(check date/timestamp of file)
If you don't see his and he see yours 'or the info is no longer correct', you will not connect.
But that is just one of many possibilities.
Does your friend leave his node running 24/7 or does he shut it off? if he runs it 24/7 make sure he is showing up in your node list, if he runs a portable node then he will have to leave it run about 10 minutes to be populated thru the system.
