ID and NOde Sound file locations?

I have the W4XPAUX.ulaw for voice ID and audio file 28248.ulaw; which one goes where? I can’t seem to get either working, no matter where I put them. I’ve been using ASL since 2009 (2584 node) and had the “old” version down. ASL 3 is giving me heartburn!!!

  1. Make sure that sounds_search_custom_dir is enabled in /etc/asterisk/asterisk.conf (now the default)

  2. Put your custom sounds in /usr/local/share/asterisk/sounds/en. You’ll need to create the “en” subdirectory.
