I can connect to other nodes but other nodes can not connect to mine

I have port 4569 UDP open on my router and pointing to my Allstar node. I can connect to other nodes but other nodes can not connect to me. I used GRC Heads Up to probe my public IP and it shows 4569 is not open. I did a port probe directly on the LAN and it shows 4569 is not open on the Allstar node. I checked iax.conf and 4569 is set correctly there. I checked the firewall rules and 4560 through 4590 are allowed. What am I missing?

Try the ipvoid.com UDP port scanner. That worked for me, but Ping Tools did not.

Steve,

Thank you so much. The tools I was using did not return the actual
status. Ipvoid shows the port is open on the public net. I appreciate
your help.

Mine is filtered too according to the tool. I like to use Putty for a terminal window. You can try the command asterisk -rvvv and see what errors you may receive on connect attempt from the outside.

What is your node number and is the node online now?

My node successfully connected to 522710 this morning.

Thanks trusty. I guess I am chasing my tail. I finally installed nmap
and that shows 4569 UDP is open on the node. IPVoid is showing
Open>filtered on the public IP. I changed my node LAN static IP to a
lower number because my Netgear router was reported to have a bug with
port forwarding higher IP addresses. 73 -Rick
