Hostname issue on new ASL3

I’ve manually changed hostname and hosts files in a new node setup. Instead of “hostname.local” , the cockpit is only accessible with “hostname-2.local” . How can I fix this? I don’t see any references to the -2 mod to hostname.

Try systemctl restart avahi-daemon

Allan, that fixed it . Thanks. I’ll have to get more info on that service/daemon.
