Help Getting Help

There are a lot of folks willing and wanting to help you find the source of your issue and resolve it.

To get a better reply sooner, and with as many variables as there are now, Make it easier on everyone and more inviting a reply.

Get better results quicker by including some of the following basic info over sending too much info that can confuse the core issue.

Make sure you include the node number(s) in question, if relevant, for often we can look at info in the registered node list before a first reply… Saves a step and sometimes a whole day waiting for that answer in a reply. We are not all on the same schedule.

What computer are you using, Pi - 2 3 4 5 ? PC

The version of the software in question.
ASL2 is not the same as ASL3
Nor is hamvoip the same as ASL/1/2/3/DIAL/ACID

While we all use the same network, but the software is not all the same. You may get a reply that does not match what is needed or simply bad advice.

Other things might include the type of URI you are using.
Or an effect you monitored but state ‘where from’ you notice this, what node or device ?

It’s quite easy to assume things not mentioned. And waste your and others time on the issue.

These few things will help yourself out as well as those that try to help.
You will likely get better results faster with less confusion for everyone.

Please title your posts here well so others seeking a solution may find answer as well.
And those that might be able to provide an exacting answer will see it is a topic they have knowledge of.
