I have written “ASL_1.01-20180228-armhf-raspbian-stretch-image” to an SD card, which seems to work. IE no error codes, correct LED’s and I see “repeater” on my network. I want to log on to it via my PC rather than connect the Pi to a monitor, kbd, mouse ETC. I have PuTTy and although I’ve used it in the past, I also have MobaXterm.
I now need an Idiots Guide to take the next step.
